Over a Century of Dependability.

State Bank & Trust Company opened for business on September 16, 1889. Our location was at 110 East Bremer Avenue, and we were quickly known as the "bank with the clock in the middle of the block."

Convenient Locations.

In 1956, the Main Bank Office was moved to 124 First Street SE, downtown Waverly. With a growing customer base and the bank's desire to better serve its patrons, five additional locations were opened: Janesville in 1959, Willow Lawn Shopping Center in 1973 (no longer open), Village Square Shopping Center in 1989 (no longer open), and the addition of Dike and New Hartford in 2007. Most recent is the addition of the South 218 Office in Waverly which has replaced the Village Square Office. The building was finished late 2007, and although it is larger than any of the other five SBT locations, the "main office" still resides at the downtown Waverly location.

Since 1889 when we opened with five employees and $50,000 in capital, we've grown to nearly 50 employees at five locations, with over $15,000,000 in capital and approximately $140,000,000 in total assets. The SBT Heritage Club was established in 1988, benefiting customers 55 and over.
